In this podcast, I share some recent, difficult experiences. In the light of what I've observed, I've become convinced that we have to let go of the labels we put on each other. Instead, I believe that we have to ask, "What's happened to a person?" "How was that person impacted?" These are the important questions! They release the weight of stigma from the shoulders of every one of us! And alongside those questions, we realize that in our essence, each of us is formed in the likeness of God. That realization that has been demonstrated to me, without a shadow of doubt, through the musical duets I've played with people--especially people with "disabilities."
These experiences have shown me that we are ALL truly cast in the likeness of God--innocent, beautiful, good.
The piano music is an improvised duet played by Jessica Roemischer and her student, Hope Garner.
