When I moved to Australia two years ago, I took 100 lbs of luggage. That was it.
Choosing what I'd pack into two suitcases was a reflective odyssey through my life.
I had to select what was most meaningful, the things I wanted to accompany me as I embarked on a whole new chapter of existence.
Among the items I chose was a hand-crafted bracelet, a gift from Melanie Lahart, a woman I'd met several years ago.
The circumstances were significant - I met Melanie at the Oxford Round Table symposium in Oxford, a scholarly event that my dad and I had traveled together to join, too.
This morning as I was cleaning my bedroom, I took in my hands that beautiful bracelet.
My mind and heart, cells and psyche coursed back through time as I was reminded of my dad,
of his brilliance, of his love for me, of all the things that I'd strangely become aware of,
most poignantly and with deep insight, after he passed.
As I held Melanie's "power bracelet" in my hands, with appreciation to Melanie,
and great love for my father, this podcast came to me...
